CHASING SHADOWS
This is not a technical workshop. It is an invitation to look at where your work actually comes from.
Over the course of this workshop we will move through the ideas, memories and patterns that sit underneath the paintings you make, often without you knowing it. The things you keep returning to. The subjects you avoid. The work that feels true and the work that doesn't, and why.
Through guided exercises, conversation and painting, we will explore how your personal history shapes your visual language, how old patterns can keep you repeating the same work without moving forward, and how bringing more honesty into the studio changes everything about what ends up on the canvas.
This is experimental by nature. There is no fixed outcome and no correct answer. It might be uncomfortable. That is usually where the most interesting work begins.
