What you’ll explore
This workshop introduces an approach to portrait painting that focuses on how composition, colour, and design can create emotion, atmosphere, and psychological depth.
Participants will explore different ways of building a painting, from the initial concept and colour sketches to experimenting with the materials, surfaces, and techniques used in the artist’s own practice.
The aim is to encourage experimentation, bolder artistic choices, and the discovery of new possibilities for developing a personal visual language.
